Library Page (Part-Time)

Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology & Systems, the Library Page (part-time) performs a variety of routine tasks related to the shelving of library materials and may perform routine (non-public) circulation duties as required.

Position Responsibilities:
• Sorts, inspects, and shelves all manner of library materials.
• Maintains correct order of a designated area through regularly assigned shelf reading.
• Removes items from book drop.
• May assist with processing in-house use materials.
• Organizes back issues of newspapers and periodicals.
• Tidies public areas and collects items used in-house.
• May occasionally assist with library programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in or have completed a secondary school educational program.
• Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g.: Office 365)
• Ability to follow established routines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
• Requirement for shift work, including evenings and weekends.

The rate of pay for this Part Time, CUPE position is the applicable minimum wage rate + $0.65 per hour. Qualified applicants are encouraged to submit a current resume clearly marked “Library Page (Part-Time)” via email to hr@wellandlibrary.ca
