Screen Printing or Embroidery Operators

NRTC is a wholesale company located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, specializing in custom apparel and gifts that cater to various industries across Canada and into the U.S. Expanding in 2024 to a state of the art 80,000 sq ft facility with cutting-edge equipment, we have grown steadily through hard work and a commitment to quality.
We are looking to hire talented permanent full-time Screen Print or Embroidery Operators with an eye for detail. To ensure success as a screen print or embroidery operator, you should be able to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labor, and have excellent hand-eye coordination. Ideally, a top-level operator can create beautifully designed articles that fully meet our customer’s specifications. We hope you’re a good fit for our NRTC family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and examine work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Responsible for communicating any production issues or delays to their supervisor.
- Assist in production first run approvals; ensure documentation and embellishments match, and embellishments are correct in placement, size, and colour.
- Identify and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Perform daily inspection of equipment to ensure equipment is operating properly.
- Must keep up with current trends and advances in apparel embellishment, including new products, equipment, and processes.
- Gain knowledge of all Niagara River Trading Company products and their construction to better understand embellishment opportunities and limitations.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Screen Print or Embroidery Operator experience is preferred. On the job training will be provided.
- Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing production requirements.
- A teammate who demonstrates reliability and commitment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and operate large machinery.
- Able to frequently lift up to 45 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating 8-hour shifts (6:00-2:30/2:00-10:30) from May through September.
Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour based on experience
Work Location: In person
