We are hiring a part-time, permanent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team in Grimsby.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, corporations, and other entities. This includes maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and account irregularities, as well as ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and credit card transactions. This role involves working diplomatically to provide billing information and support for daily bank reconciliations.

Shift Schedule:
- Day shift, 20–24 hours per week
- Monday and Tuesday: 8 hours each day
- 4–8 hours on another day (Wednesday–Friday, chosen by the employee)
Wage: Starting at $23.00+/hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to and collaborate with the Financial Controller to maintain general A/P performance
- Enter vendor invoices and reconcile accounts
- Process credit card charges and reconcile statements
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely invoice entries
- Produce profitability reports and assist with financial processes
- Maintain orderly filing systems (digital and hard copy)
- Ensure confidentiality of financial records
- Complete month-end closing procedures by the 10th of each month
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines
What You’ll Bring:
- 1–5 years of A/P experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- CSA-approved safety shoes (required)
