Bayshore seeks passionate and caring Personal Support Workers to join our team!

Shifts with home care clients that are 1-12 hours each, a Valid G or G2 and vehicle. Must be willing to travel

Locations of Work: Niagara Region (Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, Port Colborne, Welland, St. Catharines) & West Lincoln (Smithville, Beamsville, Grimsby, Jordan Station)

Wage: $21.73–$22.77 per hour

By providing home care, you create more capacity in the health care system so that only the most acute clients are receiving care in hospital or long-term care settings.

The PSW Role:
Bayshore PSWs provide personal care services to clients living in the community. With this support and assistance, Bayshore clients are able to remain in the comfort of their own home, enhancing their quality of life, dignity, and independence.

Our PSWs assist clients with activities of daily living, according to the care plan, as well as provide cognitive, social and/or emotional support, and complete other assigned tasks such as meal preparation, laundry and monitoring household safety.

Client Care plans may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, feeding, special diets, assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminders.

PSWs perform specialized client specific procedures with clinical training and support, completed care and observations of client conditions are documented.

Job Qualification

Who You Are

  • You have a desire to help improve the lives of those in your community
  • You have a reliable vehicle and are willing to travel to visit clients within the community on a daily basis
  • You are a Graduate of an accredited Provincial Nursing Program with current registration and valid CPR certification
  • You have solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to clients as well as program development, implementation and evaluation
  • You have at least five years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities, preferably in a community setting
  • Experience in business development is an asset
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format; ability to work independently and effectively lead a team; above average report writing and communication skills with both Field and
  • Administrative employees; valid driver’s license and evidence of current CPR certification
  • You are dedicated to providing high-quality service
