Bobcat Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Bobcat skid steer loader and other heavy machinery to excavate soil, remove debris, and perform trenching work as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of the equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Dig, level, and move soil and other materials for various construction projects, including foundations, grading, and landscaping.
• Ensure the excavation site is properly set up and aligned, following project plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with the construction team to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow.
• Operate machinery in compliance with all safety guidelines and local regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the job site.
• Assist in other construction tasks, such as loading/unloading materials and preparing sites for further work.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bobcat operator, with a focus on soil excavation and material handling.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to work in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret project blueprints and site plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Certification in operating Bobcat equipment or related machinery preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions (cold, snow, rain).
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, or crouch for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in noisy and dusty environments.
