About Our Client
Our client is a supplier of specialty dry food blends, servicing industrial food manufacturers around the world. Assist their team’s productivity by working with them as a Shipper/Receiver and a Warehouse Associate.
*Applicants must have both a valid forklift licence and valid AZ or DZ licence with minimum 2 years Canadian experience.
Position starts as a “Temporary” Full-Time position through Vertical Staffing with the potential to be hired on permanently by our client.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Shipper / Receiver:
- Delivering/unloading of product between warehouses in company truck (short distances within the same city block – no long-distance travel is required).
- Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas utilizing safe operation of a forklift.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned.
What You Should Have, as a Shipper / Receiver:
- Requires a valid Forklift Operating Licence with minimum 2 years Canadian experience.
- Requires valid AZ or DZ Drivers Licence with minimum 2 years Canadian experience with a suitable drivers abstract.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent physical fitness.
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.
Work Environment: Spices/flour/seasonings are blended on site. Please note that the work environment contains strong and intense fragrances, which may not be suitable for individuals sensitive to strong scents.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $19 per hour.
- 4% Vacation pay premium added with each pay.
The Shift You Will Be Working is:
- 1st shift (day shift).
- Weekend work as required (minimal).
- 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Where You Will Be Working, as a Shipper / Receiver:
- St. Catharines.
- This position is NOT bus accessible – personal vehicle is strongly preferred.
