An Aerospace company is looking for experiences Fitters to join their team to assemble, using a wide variety of techniques, both prefabricated and composite materials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Have knowledge of customer specifications, blueprints, and drawings
- Ensure material is identified properly
- Drill, grind, rivet, buck, countersink, and ensure finish requirements
- Apply spacers, shim, and contour to specifications
- Insert fasteners, trap nuts, and hardware
- Use measuring instruments (verniers, scales, micrometers etc.)
- Ensure work is performed to drawing dimensions and customer specifications
- Ensure parts are free from burrs and damage
- Ensure all parts are securely attached, have correct protective coating, and bolts and rivets are installed properly
- May deburr, perform sealing, part marking, and assist in paint shop
- Ensure proper clearances are maintained, and documentation is correct
- Perform a wide variety of assembly and sub assembly
- Able to read blueprints and follow instructions
- May perform other related duties as required by the company
Job Requirements:
- Completion of high school
- 2 years’ experience as a Fitter or equivalent is required
- Experience in Aerospace is an asset
- Must be okay to complete a criminal record check
- Must be able to complete Controlled Goods process
Shifts: 7am to 3pm, Mondays to Fridays
Wage: $21.50 to $25/hr, based on experience
