Security Guard – Conservation Areas
Each summer, the Grand River Conservation Areas welcomes visitors to enjoy camping, swimming, boating, tubing, fishing and hiking.
We are looking for students that want to be part of our team connecting people to the environment through outdoor experiences. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, work outside in an inspiring setting and gain valuable work experience.
What you will be doing:
Working as part of an enforcement team to protect our landscapes and keep them beautiful. Engaging with our visitors to ensure they are having a safe and an enjoyable stay.

Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Currently enrolled as a full time student.
- Possess the following by your first shift.
- Private Security and Investigative Services Act License
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- A valid Ontario G or G2 Driver’s licence.
- The drive and passion to work weekends, night shifts and holidays with minimum supervision.
Work Period: May to Labour Day 2024 (potential of shifts from late April to October 15th)
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour)
Shift: Weekends, Evening and Night Shifts, Statutory Holidays
Up to 40 hours per week
Conservation Areas Locations:
Belwood; Brant; Byng Island; Conestogo Lake; Elora Gorge/Quarry; Guelph Lake; Laurel Creek; Pinehurst; Rockwood, Shade’s Mills.
