Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Chef for a school in Fort Erie. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
Wage: $18-20 per hour
Shifts: Saturdays and Sundays (morning to evening)
Duties:
– Prepare and cook food items in compliance with established recipes and standards
– Ensure the quality and presentation of food meets the school’s expectations
– Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety guidelines
– Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
– Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
– Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen line before and after service
Requirements:
– Proven experience working as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
– Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
– Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members
– Food Handling Certification is required
