Type of Employment: Seasonal Full Time
Work Schedule: 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (flexible); Some evening and weekend events required; 35 Hours per week

Hourly Rate: $17.55/hour
Location: Hybrid – Downtown Welland / Remote
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships and maintain strategic partnerships with downtown businesses, residents, sponsors, volunteers and community partners.
- Develop and facilitate programming, outreach and activities to support specific event planning, and shared projects with partners, stakeholders, and the community.
- Provides education and tools about small business, leisure tourism, downtown revitalization Programs and projects.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, collaborative partners volunteers, and friends of the WDBIA in the community.
- Participate in special events in the downtown community.
- Provide administrative support to event programs and internal teams.
- Draft and edit event communications, advertising, and marketing copy.
- Assist with fulfilling event sponsorship obligations.
- On-site attendance at downtown events and businesses.
- Answer calls, emails and basic administrative support duties.
We require the following skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office. Word, Excel
- Proficiency in MailChimp
- Familiarity in design software is helpful – Canva, InDesign, Photoshop etc.
