Responsibilities
- Set-up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines
- Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products
- Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces
- Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products
- Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
- Replace parts as required
Requirements
- No specific education required
- Experience in machine operation an asset
- Must be able to speak French OR English
- Must be able to work in a noisy or dusty environment
- Must be able to handle load up to 23 kg (50lb)
- Must show manual dexterity
- Must show attention to detail
- Must have good hand-eye coordination
- Must e able to stand for extended periods
