A food preservatives company is looking for a hard-working technician to join their team on a temporary basis.
Your Tasks
- Perform regular analysis on finished and in-process parameters to ensure product quality
- Collect and analyze raw materials
- Maintain laboratory raw materials including chemical reagents
- Maintain laboratory equipment consistent with ISO standards and procedures
- Document and maintain records related to laboratory activities
- Partner with production team to resolve quality-related issues
- Assist Spores Technicians as required
- Ensure all health, safety and security procedures are observed an all times
Qualifications and Skills
- Through a combination of a OSSG with post-secondary education in a science discipline. Degree in Chemistry preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Exposure to modern analytical tools including HPLC and spectrophotomers.
- Knowledge of ISO, SPC control charting and HACCP are considered an asset.
- Looking for someone with a degree in sciences, biology or chemistry.
Experience is a must and should be familiar testing for AA – HPLC – PH moisture.
- Shifts: Monday to Friday, 7-3:30pm 8-hour daytime shifts.
Contract Length: 2 Weeks plus.
